Money, Finance, and Sustainability in Space

Unlock hidden insights and discover the untold truths in our one-of-a-kind workshop designed to challenge perspectives, spark innovation, and empower transformative thinking.

Welcome to this special online workshop organised by Space Renaissance International and the Space Value Foundation. This workshop is conceived as a fundraising initiative to help support the mission and work of SRI and SVF, non-profit organisations dedicated to our sustainability in space.

The workshop aims to contribute to the educational mission of both organisations and raise funds for their activities. If you would like to get to the bottom of our sustainability challenge in space, and how money and finance are relevant to our current predicament and future, then this workshop is for you. The workshop will empower you with a unique perspective that will in turn help you understand global trends. The workshop will be personally delivered by Dr. Armen V. Papazian, the author of three ground-breaking books on sustainable finance and space.

12th of December 2024 @ 20:00 - 22:30 GMT

About SRI

Space Renaissance International (SRI) is an NGO non-profit organization with a global membership. Our mission is to get humanity off-world, not just astronauts engaged in pioneering exploration but humanity en masse. We work for the establishment of a multi-planetary Solarian society, with long-term aspirations for humanity to become an interstellar civilization. Our main effort is targeted to help some first meaningful steps for Civilian Space Development to take place before 2030, e.g. to accelerate everything needed to allow untrained civilians to travel and live in outer space. SRI is working at U.N. COPUOS and ECOSOC, proposing an 18th SDG focused on Space (as the very key factor of sustainability) to be added to the 17 Sustainable Development goals of the 2030 Agenda. SRI is engaged as well to amend the U.N 2030 Space Agenda, adding Civilian Space Development and Space Settlement, which are completely absent in the current version.

About SVF

Space Value Foundation is a not-for-profit advocacy organisation that aims to reinvent our financial value framework and revise the equations that govern the creation, allocation and deployment of money. Our mission is to hardwire sustainability into the core equations of finance and transform the financial mathematics that underpins our markets and investments. At the heart of the transformation we advocate for is the introduction of space, as an analytical dimension and our physical context, into the value framework and equations of finance.
