Safeguarding Policy

Learner Safeguarding Policy

The Space Value Foundation (SVF) is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all its clients, members, learners, and stakeholders.

All learners are kept safe and are given the resources to understand safeguarding. They are informed of the steps they must take in the instance of disclosing abuse or if/when they are put at risk.

All SVF trainers and assessors are trained on how to keep all learners safe, within their duty of care to all learners.

In several of our activities, particularly relating to training and professional development, we may have contact with learners who are vulnerable, perhaps because of their age, physical or mental ability or ill health.

This policy provides help and guidance so that we act prudently to ensure the safeguarding of children and adults at risk.

Learners should always access their educational provision in a way that shows consideration and respect. It is not acceptable to use obscene, profane, threatening, or disrespectful language.

To achieve the above, the Space Value Foundation:

• Ensures all staff are trained in safeguarding
• Explains Learners’ rights and responsibilities, including what to do if they feel their own or others’ safety is at risk.

We consider Safeguarding training as essential for ensuring all Learners are protected.

In case there is a safeguarding concern, you can use the below form to report it directly to the senior management and board at SVF.
