Malpractice and Maladministration Policy
The Space Value Foundation (SVF) is committed to providing all learners (all those attending SVF educational programmes) with high quality qualifications.
SVF is also committed to safeguarding the integrity of its programmes and their delivery. Fair assessment for all learners and the integrity of our programmes and qualifications are a strategic priority for the foundation.
This policy defines malpractice, clarifies the roles and responsibilities of the foundation, lecturers/tutors, and learners, and outlines the procedures
that will be followed when there are issues of suspected malpractice.
The purpose is to ensure that potential malpractice is identified, prevented, corrected and/or mitigated.
To report a case or suspected or alleged malpractice, please use the form at the bottom of this page.
Malpractice is any activity or practice which deliberately contravenes procedures and regulations. These are instances where there is serious concerns about the integrity of the assessment or the validity of certificates.
Malpractice (by learners)
Malpractice is any activity or practice which deliberately contravenes procedures and regulations. Examples of such instances are cheating and plagiarism, or any other serious offence that breaches core SVF policies.
All instances of malpractice or maladministration are to be reported via the form below, at the bottom of this page.
When a potential malpractice or maladministration is identified, the SVF board will appoint a lead independent investigator who will prepare a response
within 30 days.
In cases where breaches have occurred due to maladministration rather than malpractice, relevant internal and external actions are taken to prevent any future occurrences.
The investigation outcome is communicated to the Senior Management Group and other relevant parties no more than 10 days later.
If a learner wishes to appeal against a decision, they will be referred to the Appeals Policy.
The Malpractice Policy at SVF is monitored by the Board and its Quality and Compliance Committee and is reviewed annually.
